A Review in Pictures

It has been a busy few weeks around here. I have enjoyed living somewhere that people actually want to visit!!! It has been wonderful getting to see friends and family. We have had a collection of visitors lately, and I have been a little lax with my camera duties when people have visited. I did get a picture of Jake and Ryan when Ryan came to town. Luckily, we were able to tear him away from JJ Bonerz long enough to take a pic - haha, Ryan.
The fam came to visit while Jason was out of town in Baltimore for a review course for the Emergency Medicine Boards. However, after reviewing my pictures, I decided that there was only one suitable for publishing on the internet. My sisters and niece would probably kill me if I put one of the others up because I pulled out the camera for a group shot on a windy morning when they got ready to leave. Jake and Lorelei were stylin' in this shot :)

I mean, seriously, who can deny that pearls and a cardigan along with little sneakers and a polo don't just scream fashion. Love those babies! It was nice to hang out with my sisters and niece. We didn't do a whole lot of anything. We strolled around River Street, got my sister a proper daiquiri, ate lunch at the Crab Shack, and just hung out. I hope that they will come back for a repeat sometime very soon.

I tell Jason all the time that I keep having to pinch myself. I keep looking around at how beautiful Savannah is and have a hard time believing that we live here. Right down the road on the island, the University of Georgia has their marine science center with a small aquarium. It's nothing to write home about, but there is a trail back behind the aquarium that is a really nice walk. Jason and I packed up Jake and Peanut for a stroll. Poor Peanut was so excited to leave the house that I thought he was going to have a stroke before he ever made it to the trail. He and Jason rested on the bench while Jake and I explored the pier. I love the "Gene Simmons-esque" pics of Peanut and his crazy tongue.

The little man is getting around very well now. He tries to walk most everywhere. It is crazy in just a week how much better he has gotten. These were taken this morning when he was trying to play with Peanut while holding on to a golf ball in the other hand.

We haven't seen as much of Pearl lately. The last time we saw her, she was hanging out on the bank across the lagoon when we were walking. I managed to have my camera, but this isn't a great shot. Hopefully, she will return soon.

In totally unrelated news, I spotted another photo worthy golf outfit yesterday. I ran into the other room and pulled out my National Geographic lens (as Janet Kelton calls it) and snapped this gem. Seriously, I want to know if this man is married. If he is, his wife was obviously not home when he left the house to go play golf...
