Let's Get Ready to Paaaarrrty!

Yesterday, we celebrated Jake's 3rd birthday with a pirate party. The weather here has been crazy, and when I checked the forecast for Saturday on Thursday there was an 80% chance of rain. The party was going to be an outdoor party, so to say I was stressed was an understatement. On Friday, the chance had dropped to 50%, but by that afternoon was back up to 70% chance of rain for Saturday morning. Storms moved through on Friday night that drenched the area. However, we awoke on Saturday morning to a 0-20% of rain the whole morning. Woohoo!!!!! Aside from an ordeal with the bouncer being late, the kiddos had a great time, and everyone took great naps that afternoon. I wish I had taken more pictures of the plank and tattoo station prior to the party, but that did not happen. Oh, well... Thankfully, my sisters were here and proved to be the greatest asset EVER!! Thank you both sooo much! Here is a recap of the party in pictures from start to finish :)

I am incredibly thankful to all who came out to celebrate the Jakeman's party. I am also sooooooooo thankful that prayers were answered when it came to the weather. This was the first party we have ever had for either of the boys, and I had a great time planning it. However, we will just say a trip to Monkey Joe's is in store for next year :) As tired as I was at the end of the day, I asked Jake what his favorite part of the day was. He said his favorite was jumping. He then asked me what my favorite part was, and I told him that my favorite party was looking out into the yard and seeing him and Connor having such a good time. He said, "Dat's so sweet, Mama. Gimme a kiss." Suddenly, I knew I would be dead dog tired all over again - totally worth it.
