Roundup

It's been a little while since I have posted anything other than a recipe or photo update, so I will try to catch everyone up on what's going on in our world. First of all, we can officially say that we sold our house. As of yesterday, all negotiations were final!!!! Now to search for a home in Savannah... It seems surreal as I think about this next stage. Everything in the selling portion went so quickly. The house was on the market for 6 days when we got the offer. Crazy, I know. I said goodbye to the first friend to leave Jackson earlier this week. Thankfully, we got to hang out for one last time - at least for now. I have compared this part of the process to leaving for college. Jason left really early to prepare for soccer, so he has no clue what I am talking about. I just remember watching friends pack up and leave for college, knowing that my turn was coming and being excited and anxious at the same time.

I have several recipes to post, but they will come soon in other posts. The whole weight loss has hit a bumpy patch, but we are getting back on track here this week. It was going smoothly and then the cruise... Not that I did poorly on the trip, but I just got out of my routine.

Last weekend, my little man turned 8 months old. Holy cow! What happened to the time? He brought in the new month birthday with a bang. The day before, he started crawling and waving all in the same day. The next day he was clapping. Goodness at the milestones right now. Right now, he is teething. These teeth might be the death of me. The fever, the runny nose, the irritable baby that has taken over my sweet child... Ugh! I would like to suggest that perhaps children did not cut any teeth. Baby dentures should work just fine - hehe. The poor little man just wants to be held. Tylenol and Motrin are now my (and Jake's) best friends. But seriously, isn't he the cutest?
So for now, it's lots of snuggles and meds until this little white pearl pushes through the gums.

Today is Easter, and once Jason gets back home, we will present the Easter baskets to Jake, Peanut, and Lucy kitty. Yep, the animals got a basket, too. Any hopes of attending church got shot down last night with the crazy tox consults that Jason has gotten. He was called again this morning, and he is currently at the hospital.

The theme of the week for the photo challenge was "Furry Friends." I took a pic of Jake and Lambchop:

I have been busy taking pics of others and have loved the camera practice. I hope that my GA peeps will let me play around with their kiddos and families when we get there. I wanted to share some of my faves from the past few weeks with you guys.

Of course, I had to sneak in one of the Jakeman :)
I have enjoyed this so much, and I hope that I can continue to improve. Many thanks to all who have let me photograph their families. There is so much to learn about the camera. I love trying to get those rays of sunshine! Practice, practice, practice...

I hope that everyone has a wonderful, wonderful Easter and can spend the day with family and friends. Until next time :)
