Do You Hear What I Hear??

Listen closely, do you hear it? That sound of the angels singing the Hallelujah chorus? Maybe it's just me... Who knows? I am sure the other ER wives can hear it. Our boys took their board exams today, and all I can say is I am singing the Hallelujah chorus along with the angels. Hopefully, normal life can resume, and we get our nice husbands back instead of the focused-on-studying-and-nothing-else, PMSing beings they have been for a while now. A day off from work can mean a day off. Whew!!! And maybe, just maybe, this tired Mama can get a break.

We headed over to Tybee this evening. Jake started giggling the minute we topped the little walkway to the beach. This boy LOVES the ocean and sand. I tried to venture out to the beach the other morning. It was cloudy, so I thought it would be perfect to try and get some beach pictures. Of course, five minutes before I parked, the clouds parted and the sun shined like crazy. That did NOT make me happy because full sunlight is not what you want when taking outdoor pics. I must have been on crack that morning as well to think a pregnant lady alone plus a 14 month old would equal quality photos. Needless to say, not a single picture was in sharp focus, and every time I put my child somewhere for a photo op, by the time I got in position to take the picture he was miles away. After huffing and puffing for about 30 minutes, I called it good, and headed to get lunch. I didn't notice until I got home that I never changed my camera settings (which I never forget to look at), so that is why nothing was in focus. Today, however, was SOOOO much easier. My assistant, aka husband, wrangled Jake while I snapped away. Here are a few images - most of which you have seen on Facebook.

And can I just say how much I lurve living here??? Holy cow, I feel so lucky to be able to just drive over to the beach for the afternoon. We ate dinner nearby, and Jake cracks me up now with how much he eats. I truly would have been satisfied if I had eaten what he ate for dinner. The boy had a bunch of puffs to pacify him before they brought food, a hot dog, part of the bun, a few fries, and a cup of yogurt. Seriously, we are going to have to take out a loan when he hits the teenage years to be able to afford to feed him!!! He is starting to say more now. Along with Uh-Oh, his latest thing is "Oh, Wow!" Seriously, could it get any cuter?

The new baby is a wild man. Holy moley!! Jake had active periods during the day, but this little man just moves like crazy all the time. Jason and I were sitting on the couch the other night, and Jason had his hand on my belly. He commented at how much activity was going on. I explained that this is what I had been talking about and it is an all-the-time kind of thing. I hope that this isn't any indication what he will be like "on the outside."

Anyhoo, I will end the post for now. I have had all kinds of things to ramble about lately, but I haven't had the time to sit and post. Hopefully, that can change now that I have a husband again :) Until next time...
